In June 2021, the SAC family said goodbye to three teachers, Mrs. Shauna Kay Arthurs, and Mr. Duran McNeil, from the computer science department, and Mr. Christian Wilmore, from the science department.

The College is a Roman Catholic secondary school with a Benedictine heritage. As such, it is unique within the education system in The Bahamas.
When the SAC community learned of the sudden passing of Big Red Machine educator, Charles Lashley, it was stunned. Having taught at SAC for 37 years, Mr. Lashley was a pillar in the SAC community for decades and many alumni and supporters of the school flocked to social media to offer condolences to his family and pay their respects to a man who had such a positive impact on the lives he touched.
Who says that because school is virtual, we can’t show school spirit! Our Lady Machines made sure they still put on their first day of school performance even though we didn’t have convocation this year.
